Campaigns

Merseyside Civic Society’s role includes ensuring that there are open discussions on matters of public interest, in order to inform both public opinion and elected Members of the respective Local Authorities, as a ‘critical friend’.

Below are a number of the recent campaigns that Merseyside Civic Society members have been and are actively engaged in.

MCS encourages you to get involved to help support the Society in its efforts to influence decision making.

How to join us – Anyone can become a member of the Society (subscriptions are now voluntary). As a charitable organisation however, the Society depends upon both subscriptions and donations.

Since 1938 the Society has helped to preserve the best of the past, such as the Albert Dock and the Lyceum. More recently the Society has seriously addressed the need for re-establishing a Design Review process in respect of achieving good design quality for the future.
